Cape Byron Whisky has received the prestigious gold medal for our Australian single malt ‘The Original’, at the 2023 San Francisco World Spirit Competition.

The competition is renowned in the industry for its integrity and impartiality, the San Francisco World Spirits Competition (SFWSC) has become one of the most respected and influential spirits competitions in the world. In 2022, the competition cemented its position as the largest spirits competition in the world with nearly 5,000 entries.

Cape Byron Distillery’s Single Malt ‘The Original’ Whisky was launched in August 2022 and this signature expression is matured exclusively in 200L, American oak ex-bourbon casks within our subtropical rainforest in the Byron Bay hinterland, NSW.

‘The Original’ Whisky is bottled at 47%ABV, non-chilled filtered and no added colour. The palate offers soft vanilla, creme brulee, and biscotti characters, layered over distinct notes of pear, coconut and buttery macadamia.
