Our Mac Liqueur and Barrel-aged Mac. both contain macadamia nuts.

Our gin products are distilled with macadamia nuts. During distillation, the proteins that contain the allergens are removed. Macadamia oils have a very high boiling point, which means that they don’t vaporize during the process. As a result, they are left behind and do not pass through.spirit.

Yes, all of our range spirits are Gluten Free.

During distillation, components with lower boiling points are separated from those with higher boiling points.

Gluten, like all other proteins, has a boiling point that’s very high. This means that it doesn’t vaporize during this distillation process. As a result, it’s left behind and does not pass through in the process of distillation.

Once your order is placed, you will receive a confirmation email letting you know that our fulfillment team has received your order. Once your order is fulfilled, you will receive an email notification with your tracking information. Shipping fees are non-refundable in the case of returns.

We currently only sell our products within Australia.

Yes, we are pet friendly. We don’t encourage taking your pet on the rainforest tour, but there is a comfortable space for your pet to relax on the balcony at the cellar door.

From Byron Town Centre:

- Take Ewingsdale Rd - Take 2nd exit towards Bangalow on 'Hinterland Way'.

Take left onto St Helena rd until you see the destination on the right. 

From Lennox/Ballina:

On the M1 from Tinterbar. Take the exit towards Byron Bay Rd/Bangalow. At the roundabout, take the 3rd exit onto Hinterland Way. Continue straight until you reach St. Helena on your right and follow the road until you reach Cape Byron Distillery on the right. 

From Gold Coast:

Take M1 Southbound. Take the exit towards Ewingsdale Rd/Byron Bay/B62 from M1. Take Hinterland Wy/B62 to your destination in McLeods Shoot

All children are welcome at the distillery. Please note we don’t have a playground and due to the surroundings of our beautiful rainforest, we do not have space for children to run around.

Parents/guardians please supervise children while on the premises and are responsible for the safety of their children at all times.

For the tours, we do not charge for the attendance of children under 12. 

Our menu focuses on showcasing the spirits we make at our distillery; we do not offer wine or beer.

the right to limit the quantities of any products or services that we offer.

lost savings, loss of data, replacement costs, or any similar damages, whether
based in contract, tort (including negligence), strict liability or otherwise,
arising from your use of any of the service or any products procured using the
service, or for any other claim related in any way to your use of the service
or any product, including, but not limited to, any errors or omissions in any
content, or any loss or damage of any kind incurred as a result of the use of

Cape Byron Distillery will store personal details only to keep subscribers up to date via our opt-in subscription newsletter. It is not the policy of Cape Byron Distillery to sell or exchange personal details. Your details will be kept solely for the purpose of subscription updates, you will be removed if requested.

In the event of receiving damaged or incorrect goods, notification must be given within 24 hours of receipt of goods for credit or replacement.

Cape Byron Distillery supports the responsible service of alcohol and will never supply alcohol to minors. You need to be over the Legal Drinking age to purchase from our online store.

You will need to register to use our online shopping facility or you have an option to shop as a guest. Once through the initial registration phase you will be sent a link via email to activate your account. Please click on this email link to ensure that your registration is confirmed, once your account is activated you can log in and place orders online. If you do not receive an email after trying to register, please phone us on 02 6684 7961 or email us info@capebyrondistillery.com

We accept payment via Visa and Mastercard. Card details are securely encrypted and forwarded to us. Once the order is finalised the card will be processed. We delete card details after your order has been finalised as an extra security measure. If you do not have a credit card please contact us on 02 6684 7961 to arrange an alternate payment form.

Delivery costs are a flat rate of $10 throughout Australia. Orders $150 and above receive free freight. We ship Australia wide with TNT, Fastway and Australia Post. We deliver using receipted receival. If you are not at home a card will be left. If you wish your parcel to be left please leave instructions in the comments field of the checkout screen.

We endeavour to process and ship orders within 48 hours, however this is not always possible, if delays are expected we will email you with the details. Orders placed outside office hours will be processed the next business day. Orders placed on a weekend will not be processed until the next business day.

We endeavour to list ‘out of stock’ items on our website. Occasionally, during busy periods we may run out of a product before we have the chance to update our website. If you have ordered an out of stock item we will contact you to see if you would like a replacement product or wait until the product is back in stock.
