It’s been a big month of awards for Brookie’s!
Brookie’s Dry Gin, Slow Gin, Shirl The Pearl & Mac. have all taken home notable awards this month.
Cape Byron Distillery is extending its awards shelf, within the past month we’ve taken home seven, yes seven, new awards for the Brookie’s range!
The most recent achievement was Mac. by Brookie’s macadamia liqueur, awarded PLATINUM at the 2020 SIP Awards, the only internationally recognised consumer judging spirits competition. Catering to the opinions and palates of the discerning public, the SIP Awards presents a unique, spirit judging competition, unaffected by industry bias.
Staying true to the distillery’s environmental ethos, this easy-drinking sipper is made up of 100% locally sourced ingredients. The macadamia nuts themselves are procured from the Northern River region which includes the Brook family farm, home to Cape Byron Distillery.
Brookie’s took home a slew of medals at the 2020 SIP Awards including:
- Mac. by Brookie’s, PLATINUM
- Brookie’s Byron Slow Gin, GOLD
- Brookie’s Byron Dry Gin, SILVER
- Shirl the Pearl Kumquat Gin, SILVER
Next up was Brookie’s Byron Slow Gin taking home the LOCALLY SOURCED AWARD at the Food & Beverage Industry Awards. This is an especially important award to our team as the brand has always been synonymous with using locally sourced, sustainably conscious natural ingredients. The popularity of Brookie’s Byron Slow Gin has seen Cape Byron Distillery become the largest consumer of Davidson’s Plums, with the Distillery continually scouring for the fruit throughout the Northern Rivers community.
Rounding out the latest competition prizes was the Australian Gin Awards with a GOLD for Brookie’s Byron Dry Gin and both a SILVER and CONSUMERS’ CHOICE AWARD for their latest product Shirl the Pearl, Kumquat Gin. The latter was released in May this year on a limited release which saw the kumquat infused Gin sold out in just one week!
